Award Winning Aviation Safety Program
Mayo Aviation has the highest commitment to aviation safety. We embrace best industry practices and have an active Safety Management System. Our safety program is fully supported at the highest level and will never be compromised for profit. We operate above and beyond what is required under federal aviation regulations in order to ensure your absolute safety.
One of the most important elements of a good safety management system is the training that all employees receive. To ensure this, Mayo uses nothing but the highest caliber safety training programs and vendors. All Mayo pilots and maintenance technicians receive training from FlightSafety International, the industry leaders in aircraft training. Each Mayo Aviation pilot attends training at a FlightSafety International training center every 6 months and all flight crew members receive both their initial and all recurrent training in FlightSafety's state-of-the-art full motion simulators. There is no finer training available. In addition, Mayo utilizes FlightSafety International specialized training for mountain flying in night and all weather conditions.
Additionally, Mayo is an active member of the NATA Safety 1st program and all Mayo Line Service technicians must complete the professional line service training program offered through NATA, ensuring that all elements of aircraft activities are addressed with formal training programs.
Mayo Aviation is a founding member of the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) and Bill Mayo, our CEO, is on the Board of Governors of this foundation whose mission is to improve the safety awareness and performance of the entire air charter industry worldwide. We were only the second company in the nation to achieve ACSF Level II certification, and did so during our initial Safety Management System audit.
As a member of the National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA), Mayo participates in their Safety Awards program and we are proud to be recognized as having over 25 years and over 141,000 hours consecutively flown accident-free.

As a member of the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) and a Registered Operator of the Industry Audit Standard (IAS), you can be assured that our operation meets the highest standards of safety and security in the on-demand charter industry. We recognize that the independent evaluation of our Safety Management System (SMS) through the IAS is critical to maintaining continuous safety improvements and a healthy corporate culture. The Air Charter Safety Foundation's (ACSF) Industry Audit Standard (IAS) is a revolutionary audit program that provides a comprehensive, independent review of an operator's adherence to safety and security regulations.
The ACSF Industry Audit Standard (IAS) is the only audit that specifically evaluates compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 135 (and/or 91 Subpart K) regulations. The IAS requires an SMS to be in place and evaluates the SMS based upon published International Civil Aviation Organization and FAA standards. Operators must adopt and implement operational risk assessment. An on-site IAS audit is required every 24 months, to learn more, visit www.acsf.aero/audit or www.acsf.aero/registry.
